UPSC CDS- I Recruitment 2023, Apply Online for the CDS-I Exam

UPSC has released the official notification for Combined Defense Service (CDS) examination on 21st December 2022. Interested candidates can apply online at https://upsconline.nic.in. The last to apply online is 10th January 2023.
UPSC conducts the exam twice a year.

UPSC CDS 2023 Eligibility Criteria

1. Nationality
A candidate must be unmarried and must either be:
(i) a Citizen of India,
(ii) a subject of Nepal, 
(iii) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. 

2. Educational Qualification

2.	Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala	Degree in Engineering from a recognized University/Institution. (10+2 with Physics and Maths)
3.	Air Force Academy, Hyderabad	Degree from a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.
4.	Officers Training Academy, Chennai, (SSC Men)	The candidate should have a Graduation degree.
5.	Officers Training Academy, Chennai, (SSC Women)	The candidate should have a Graduation degree.

UPSC CDS 2023 Application fee:-

1. For General/OBC Category- Rs. 200/-
2. For Females/SC/ST- NIL (Exempted from fee)

UPSC CDS 2023 Selection process:-

The Combined Defense Services Examination is conduct in two phases:
Written Examination & SSB Interview
The CDS follows a three-stage recruitment process:-
(i) Written Examination
(ii) SSB Interview
(iii) Medical Examination
(iv) Merit List

UPSC CDS 2023 Steps to apply:-

1. Visit the official website of UPSC i.e https://www.upsc.gov.in.
2. Now, click on the UPSC CDS 1 2023 link.
3. It is essential for the applicant to register himself/herself first at One Time Registration (OTR) platform, available on the Commission’s website,
4. In part 1 of the registration, Submit your basic details.
5. In part 2, pay the fee (if applicable) and choose the exam center of your choice.
6. Upload your passport size photo and signature as per guidelines given in the notice.
7. Save the details and click on the submit button.
8. Take-out the print of the application form for future references.
